BESTEP Programs
BESTEP Unpaid Internship Program:
This program is designed for students who want to experience living in an Asian culture and building professional experience in the largest emerging market in the world for a short period of time. Applicants for this program are focused on experiencing life in Asia and learning a little about a specific professional field.
- Duration is 4 - 12 weeks.
- Academic Requirements: University Students must be in the last 2 years or graduates (maximum age 30).
- Language: Proficient in English, Chinese language skills not necessary.
- Preferably major in business, engineering & Asian studies.
- Positions: 80% of our positions are offered in the fields of sales, marketing, HR, business consulting, project management, import-export sourcing. 20% of our internships are in IT or technical positions.
To make the internship enjoyable for Intern and trouble free for the company we offer to the Intern:
- Airport pick up;
- Survival Kit that includes a Chinese cell phone and SIM card, travel guide book, map, metro card and personal business cards;
- Apartment assistance and introduction;
- Legal support: registration at the police station, help with visa;
- Working experience support: internship placement, preparation for interview;
- Social and networking event introduction.

BESTEP Paid Internship Program:
This program is designed for students who want to experience living in an Asian culture and building professional experience in the largest emerging market in the world for. Applicants for this category are more serious about gaining professional experience and/or learning the Chinese language. Recommended duration: 6months.
- Duration is a minimum 13 weeks – maximum of 52 weeks.
- Academic Requirements: University Students must be in the last 2 years or graduates (maximum age 30).
- Language: Proficient in English, Chinese language skills not necessary.
- Preferably major in business, engineering & Asian studies.
- Positions: 80% of our positions are offered in the fields of sales, marketing, HR, business consulting, project management, import-export sourcing. 20% of our internships are in IT or technical positions.
- Remuneration: 1,500 - 4,000 RMB (non/cash) dependent on duration of program.

BESTEP ONLY Internship Program:
This Program is for those, who want BESTEP to find for them only an internship position in Shanghai.
- Duration is a minimum 4 weeks – maximum of 52 weeks.
- Academic Requirements: University Students must be in the last 2 years or graduates (maximum age 30).
- Language: Proficient in English, Chinese language skills not necessary.
- Preferably major in business, engineering & Asian studies.
- Positions: 80% of our positions are offered in the fields of sales, marketing, HR, business consulting, project management, import-export sourcing. 20% of our internships are in IT or technical positions.
- Remuneration: 1,500 - 4,000 RMB (non/cash) dependent on duration of program.
Package includes:
- Internship search and interview preparation;
- Visa consulting;
- Introduction in the host company (first working day);
- City orientation: Residence guide book.

Mandarin Language Trainings
BESTEP has partnered with a leading Chinese language school to provide interns with Chinese language training programs.
- One-to-one trainings give the opportunity to study more Chinese characters and arrange the lessons to your convenience and based on your needs.
- Our groups trainings are usually 2-4 weeks intensive trainings, start it once par month and the classes are held in the mornings.
